Thank you for enquiring about our exciting venture, Uniting Kids Care, where we are continually growing and developing to meet the needs of our families, educators, staff and local community. If you are not already a part of our community, we hope to meet you soon. Please feel free to contact us should you require any further information or to make an appointment to be shown around the centre by our Director Amy Goddard.
Uniting Kids Care opened in August, 1998. Our Preschool/Long Day Care Centre is one of the community service activities of Springwood Uniting Church. It is a part of our ongoing commitment to education and care for people of all ages regardless of their faith or belief. Uniting Kids Care works in co-operation with our other existing services such as Play-Tots, Personal and Family Counselling and Springwood Retirement Villages and Nursing Home. We also work under the umbrella of Uniting who provide us with support and professional development to assist us in providing high quality education and care.
Uniting Kids care is managed by our committee that consists of church and parent representatives who are dedicated to providing quality care at an affordable price for all families.
Uniting Kids Care nurtures and encourages each child to help them reach their potential in a positive, caring, Christian environment. At UKC we believe that children will blossom when families and educators work alongside each other, providing an optimal place for children to thrive. With this in mind we support not only each child, but aim to build genuine and meaningful relationships with families through a variety of communication methods. At large we aim to provide high quality, affordable education and care that your child and your family will love.
At Uniting Kids Care we are continuously reflecting on our practices and any feedback we receive to ensure we are providing the best education and care for our families and the community. We are also subject to external assessment and rating processes as we work within the National Quality Framework.

We affirm the Gundungarra and Darug people as traditional custodians of this land and pay our respects to their elders, past, present and future for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Aboriginal Australia. We must always remember that this land is, was and always will be traditional Aboriginal land and exert ourselves so that we can all walk together to a better future.
Our 2017 fee of $87.00 per day includes educations and care between 7am and 6pm from caring, loving, friendly and qualified educators. Children will also receive breakfast (served before 7.30am on request), morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, supper and all drinks.
Eligible families will receive the Government Child Care Benefit (CCB) in which the daily fee will be reduced and all families are entitled to the government Child Care Rebate (CCR) which allows you to receive 50% of all your out of pocket fee expenses. This is making childcare much more affordable. You can elect to receive your CCR fortnightly, quarterly or annually. Please contact the Family Assistance Office on 136 150 to register for child care and to find out more about CCB and CCR.
To secure your child’s placement at UKC, we require a two week bond prior to your child’s first day. This will be refunded to you upon departure, once two week’s notice is given in writing.

Our initial enrolment administration fee of $30 entitles your child to a UKC hat which will remain on the premises to reduce your stress in remembering a hat each day. For each following year our administration fee is reduced to $15 which also includes a new hat.
